Lobster Tail and Claw Meat

Say goodbye to the mess and effort of cracking shells. Our pre-shucked, fully cooked lobster tail and claw meat arrive fresh and ready to use in any recipe. Each pound delivers the two most prized portions of the lobster, firm, substantial tail sections alongside sweet, tender claw pieces.

Hand-selected from Maine and Canadian waters and processed at our historic Boston waterfront facility, this combination gives you restaurant-quality lobster without the work. Since 1925, James Hook & Co. has prepared premium seafood with the expertise that comes from nearly a century of practice, so you receive only the choicest portions ready for your table.

How to Use Fresh Lobster Tail and Claw Meat

Lobster tail and claw meat offer distinct textures and flavors that complement each other beautifully. The tail delivers a slightly firmer bite and clean, mild sweetness, while claw meat brings a softer, more delicate texture with a richer, sweeter flavor profile. Together, these two cuts create a balanced melt-in-your-mouth quality perfect for any recipe.

  • Classic lobster rolls: Mix the meat with mayonnaise, lemon juice and celery, or simply toss with hot butter, then pile onto buttered, toasted buns.
  • Creamy pasta: Toss with butter, garlic and linguine, then finish with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon for a restaurant-quality dinner in minutes.
  • Lobster mac and cheese: Fold into your favorite cheese sauce just before baking for an indulgent upgrade to comfort food.
  • Chilled salads: Layer over greens with avocado, bacon and blue cheese, or toss with mayo for a quick lobster salad.
  • Hearty soups: Stir into bisque or chowder during the final minutes of cooking to preserve the tender texture.
  • Gourmet pizza: Layer it onto pizza with garlic butter, fresh mozzarella and herbs for an upscale twist.
  • Tacos: Fill tacos with lobster, slaw, avocado crema and fresh lime for a coastal twist on taco night.
  • Breakfast or brunch: Top eggs Benedict with warmed lobster instead of ham for a luxurious twist.

Give it a try if nearby! Waited in line about 10 minutes to order and my food was ready within minutes. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. I can see this place getting busy in the summers. Their large lobster roll is full of meat and delicious. I like it best hot with butter!

Best lobster roll As a lobster roll connoisseur, I can tell this is the best, freshest, most legit and generous lobster roll you will ever find. Down side? Their lobster roll will ruin you for all other lobster rolls.

Not too shabby The food was great, and the staff was friendly. This is not a sit down restaurant; it is more like a fast food establishment where you wait in line, pay first, and then pick up your food. They had steamers available, but they were only sold raw and were not available cooked. Corn on the cob was not on the menu. Since we had a group of six and placed a fairly large order, a staff member helped bring the food to our table. There is plenty of seating, including some tables inside an air conditioned shack. The restrooms are portable toilets. The location is convenient and close to the water, but it is not directly on the waterfront and does not offer water views. The prices are considered reasonable, although they are not cheaper than Quincy Market. However, the seating is definitely much better. Next time we’re in Boston, we’ll look for another lobster place that serves corn on the cob and cooked steamers.

Just Awesome Lobster Showed up here not knowing what to expect- would it live up the hype or be an expensive flop. The lobster rolls were legit and as good, if not better, than any I have had in coastal Maine.

The best lobster rolls This is one of the best seafood markets for sure. The place isn't fancy but the food is absolutely a bomb. The lobster roll looked simple but tasted delicious. I asked for just the butter to go with it and it was perfect. The crab roll was just equally good. They have limited seats inside but lots of seats outside. The price of the food is quite expensive but totally worth it. The service was quick. The staff were nice. The line was long but it moved quickly. Definitely worth another visit.
